Caroline Müller

Caroline Müller completed a Bachelor’s degree in translation studies at Leipzig University, where she is now pursuing a Master’s degree in the same field. Since March 2023, she has been carrying out a work placement in information development with the IT company ipoque. From October 2024 to February 2025, she put this position on hold to complete a Blue Book traineeship in the Communication Unit of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Translation.

Caroline is writing her Master’s thesis on the different career paths taken by alumni from her university’s Institute of Applied Linguistics and Translatology (IALT) after graduation. To this end, she is conducting a survey among graduates from 2014 to 2025 with the aim of showing where alumni have ended up working, how translators and interpreters work today, and how they evaluate their studies at IALT.
