Description

Provide a training for newly recruited officials in the Trade Defence Directorate including an intensive and complete training course on financial and cost accounting, specifically adapted to the particular situations which are most likely to occur during anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigations as well as on the practical application of this knowledge during on-spot verifications of entities involved in trade defence investigations. The “financial accounting”, or “accrual accounting” part of the training needs to cover inter alia the most relevant International Accounting Standards/International Financial Reporting Standards (hereafter referred to as “IAS/IFRS Standards”) which are used in the area of anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigations. In addition, to a limited extent, the basic principles of consolidation need to be explained. The “cost accounting” part of the training needs to cover inter alia the most commonly used cost systems such as standard costing.
