Alicja M. Okoniewska is Head of Succession Planning and Training of Future Interpreters Sector in the Talent Development Unit at DG Interpretation, European Commission. She is an EU accredited conference interpreter with experience working in the public sector Alicja is a seasoned interpreter trainer and trainer of trainers.She holds a PhD in discourse analysis, she is a former interpreting course director, and has a research background in socio-cognitive aspects of conference interpreting, computer-assisted conference interpreting, multimodal analysis of inter-lingual mediated discourse and multilingual political discourse analysis in institutional settings. She is an author of publications in the field, a presenter at international conferences, and a moderator.
