Responsibilities
The Directorate-General for Translation (DGT) is one of the world’s largest public translation services and the domain leader for all translation-related work in the European Commission.
Its work focuses on 3 main pillars: providing high-quality translations, offering editing services to help produce clear texts, and delivering AI-based multilingual services like eTranslation. DGT also promotes multilingualism and supports language professions.
These efforts help the EU communicate effectively with its citizens and contribute to democracy and competitiveness.
