Responsibilities
In line with the Commission's HR Strategy - aimed at presenting a vision for a modern, flexible and values-driven organisation, which ensures its staff deliver outstanding results for people across the EU - the Directorate-General for Human Resources continues to work on a range of initiatives. These include those that ensure we attract diverse talent, while at the same time creating the right conditions for all staff to thrive and be able to deliver on our priorities.
- Foster a diverse, respectful and inclusive work environment across the Commission which is reflective of the European society it serves
- Support staff physical and mental wellbeing and lifelong learning for staff
- Deliver support, opportunities and training for staff to have meaningful careers in line with the Commission’s needs
- Support a modern and flexible workplace culture based on trust-based management
- Deliver staff-focused and efficient HR services so staff receive the support they need once they join the Commission and throughout their career
- Green the Commission to achieve corporate climate neutrality by 2030, in line with the new Greening Communication
- Ensure the safety, security and protection of staff, property, activities and information
- Set out a global framework to support Departments implementing the Staff Regulations and ensure a consistent application across the Commission
