Reverse vending systems for beverage containers

The subsidy covers investments in the installation of reverse vending machines (RVM) and the replacement or upgrading of less functional ones. Multifunctional machines that can take back both returnable and disposable containers will be supported with higher funding rates. 

RVMs must meet criteria concerning correct recognition of the deposit containers (barcode, shape, weight), secure destruction of bottles and cans and reliable data management and transfer. 

The aim is to purchase or upgrade 5000 RVMs and thereby make a significant contribution to increasing the collection rate of disposable containers to 80% and the reusable rate to 25%.
