Investment in the implementation of community nurses

Fully funded by the Recovery and Resilience Facility with EUR 54.2 million, the establishment of local ‘community nurses will provide low-threshold and close-to-home care for people in need. The pilot project, which runs until the end of 2024, aims to support primarily older people living at home and their informal carers.

As of December 2024, 117 funding agreements were signed, providing financing for more than 150 community nurses. Moreover, 89 e-cars and 41 e-bikes help to promote environmentally friendly mobility of the community nurses.
