Mission

The European Judicial Network (EJN) promotes judicial cooperation in criminal matters between EU countries.

The EJN's mission is to

• improve, facilitate and speed up international judicial cooperation
• ensure the proper execution of mutual legal assistance and mutual recognition requests

Founded in 1998, the European Judicial Network has privileged relations with Eurojust, based on consultation and complementarity. The EJN secretariat is based in the premises of Eurojust in The Hague.
