DepartmentCybersecurity Service for the Union Institutions, Bodies, Offices and Agencies Biography Krassi began her career in the private sector in France, focusing on cybersecurity and ICT. Over 14 years ago, she transitioned to the public sector, joining the EU institutions. In 2011, she became the first-ever Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at the Court of Justice of the EU, marking a major milestone in her career. She then took on progressively senior roles within the European Commission in Brussels, including being responsible for Corporate Governance and IT Security while working for the Secretary General and the Cabinets of Commissioners. She later became the Deputy Head of Unit of IT Security Operations in DG DIGIT, before moving on to serve as Head of Unit for IT and Communication at the Commission’s Office for Infrastructure in Luxembourg. Currently, Krassi is serving in DG ITEC as the Head of Unit for “Cybersecurity Governance”. In this role, she is responsible for defining, running, and maintaining the European Parliament-wide governance structure regarding cybersecurity. Krassi holds a degree in Computer Engineering, a Master in Business Administration and a Master in Management of Security of Information Systems. Throughout her career and continuing studies, she has been a passionate advocate for women in IT, actively encouraging girls to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Most recently, she has collaborated with the Luxembourg government to promote digital skills and has served as a visiting speaker in several schools and colleges across Luxembourg
