The Commission has imposed provisional countervailing duties on imports of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) from China. The anti-subsidy investigation showed that the BEV value chain in China benefits from unfair subsidisation, which is causing a threat of economic injury to producers in the EU.

To ensure the EU stays on track to meet its digital transformation ambitions, EU countries need additional investments in digital skills, high-quality connectivity, and uptake of Artificial Intelligence.
