The Citizens' Dialogue was organised in cooperation between the EC Representations and the Ministry of Environment. The main speakers were Director General of DG CLIMA Mauro Petriccione and Minister for Housing, Energy and Environment Kimmo Tiilikainen.
There were also invited comments from the Climate NGOs and Finnish Industry Association. In the end, the audience was asked to pose questions to the DG and the Minister.
The main issues discussed:
- The European Commission strategic long-term vision for a prosperous, modern, competitive and climate-neutral economy by 2050.
- The climate policy of the Finnish EU Presidency
- Climate NGOs response to the EC climate strategy
