Language skills: your bridge to the jobs of the future

The European Day of Languages is celebrating its 25th birthday!

Join us on 26 September for a virtual event and talk to language experts and professionals at the European Commission. Create your avatar and visit our exhibition area to discover the different ways in which the European Commission supports multilingualism, language learning and language diversity. Ask everything you’ve always wanted to know about language policy, translation, interpretation and opportunities to learn languages.

The panel discussion will be webstreamed live here on 26.09. at 10:15 am (CEST).

In a fast-changing world shaped by AI and emerging technologies, multilingualism remains a key competence for mobility, employability, mutual understanding, and tackling complex global challenges.

Join us for an inspiring roundtable where you can hear from leading voices across fields—from AI development to social work and interpretation—on how language learning opens doors and how new technologies can complement, not replace, human multilingual communication.

Don’t miss this dynamic discussion!

The virtual event platform will be available from the day before and will stay open for the entire day of the event. To register, you will need an EU Login (if you don’t already have one), so please create it beforehand on this page.
