In the context of the International Coastal Cleanup Day and the global EU Beach Cleanup campaign, the Delegation of the European Union to Thailand in partnership with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Mahidol University International College, TerraCycle Thai Foundation, SOS Earth, Little Big Green and Tuen Channel will organise the Canal Cleanup Day 2020 on Friday, 18 September 2020, at Lat Phrao Canal in Bangkok. In order to further engage with Thai youth, there is also a pre-event campaign called the Trash Me Challenge, where the public and fans of three key opinion leaders/environmentalists, namely Miss Thailand Universe 2017 Maria Poonlertlarp (SOS Earth), Wannasingh Prasertkul (Tuen Channel) and Kanatip Soonthornrak (Little Big Green), are invited to collect trash in their daily life and create design objects or outfits. A total of six winners will get to participate on the Canal Cleanup Day. A call for public volunteer can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/EUinThailand/posts/3111696855552041.
