Citizens' Dialogue in Burg with Nikolaus von Peter, European Commission's Representation in Germany

The Citizens' Dialogue took place in Burg on 6 February 2020. Main theme discussed was democracy. Then, the conversation moved to a discussion about the priorities that Germany intends to implement during its EU Presidency as from July 2020.

Nikolaus von Peter, political advisor to the EU Commission Representation in Germany stated that for him, the opportunity to talk directly to the citizens is a privilege that is unfortunately not often granted to colleagues in Brussels.

"We see ourselves here in Germany as the first point of contact for people and we report their concerns to Brussels," explained von Peter.
