The Festival of the New European Bauhaus (NEB) will take place on 9-13 April in Parc du Cinquantenaire and the Arts and History Museum in Brussels. It will bring together people from all walks of life to debate and shape our future into a sustainable, inclusive, and beautiful one.
This year, the Festival will explore topics such as shelter and living environments, land and water, fashion and human wellbeing in light of the changing environment. Everyone is invited to watch the Festival online, attend events across Europe and beyond, or take part in main events happening in Brussels:
- Forum: featuring keynotes and panel discussions
- Fair: with workshops, labs, and exhibitions
- Fest: showcasing artistic performances
The Festival will also feature the award ceremony of New European Bauhaus Prizes, rewarding 20 projects, designs, and ideas that embody the NEB values. This year, we welcomed applications of projects in Ukraine, in addition to those from the EU countries and Western Balkans partners. This year's edition will give special recognition to Ukraine's reconstruction and recovery effort and put the spotlight on regions across the EU facing more intense socio-economic constraints, as well as places facing challenges to evolve to a carbon-neutral economy.
The New European Bauhaus is a creative and interdisciplinary initiative that connects the European Green Deal to our living spaces and experiences. Launched by the European Commission, it calls on all of us to imagine and build together a sustainable and inclusive future that is beautiful for our eyes, minds, and souls.
