The European Network of Equality Bodies
The European Network of Equality Bodies (Equinet) was set up to promote a uniform application of EU law in the field of non-discrimination and equal treatment.
The network has a special focus on the equality of women and men, and many of its members have a mandate to work on gender equality. The network brings together 46 organisations from 34 European countries, including all EU members.
It promotes an exchange of information and best practice between members, organises capacity-building events and provides a strong voice by contributing lessons learned from the work and experience of national equality bodies on the ground to the wider European debate.
Below is a list of national equality bodies working in the EU to combat discrimination and promote equality between women and men.
A full list of Equinet members can be found on the Equinet website.
