Data and interoperability (Mission 1, Component 1, Investment 1.3, Sub-investment 1.3.1)Italy's Recovery and Resilience Plan provides this investment to ensure the full interoperability of key datasets and services across central and local public administrations.The measure envisages the development of a National Digital Data Platform (“Piattaforma Digitale Nazionale Dati”) that shall guarantee the interoperability of datasets through a catalogue of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) shared across central and local administrations (Investment 1.3.1). When built, this platform shall guarantee the interoperability of datasets through a catalogue of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) shared across central and local administrations. The Platform shall be fully compliant with EU law.The investment is financed by Italy’s Recovery and Resilience plan by EUR 556 million.The project is part of this investment. The PDND is the platform defined in Article 50-ter, paragraph 2 of Legislative Decree no. 82 of 7 March 2005, to which the subjects referred to in Article 2, paragraph 2, of the CAD are used in order to encourage the knowledge and use of the information held for institutional purposes in the databases referred to them and the sharing of data with those who have the right to access it in implementation of Article 50 CAD for simplifying the obligations of citizens and businesses. PDND promotes the interoperability of information systems and databases of public administrations and public service providers. The level of interoperability proposed by PDND can be achieved through the accreditation, identification and management of authorisation levels of entities authorised to operate on PDND, and the collection and storage of information relating to access and transactions carried out through it.
