‘Digisprong’ of the Flemish Community

The main aim of this investment, which was achieved in 2022, is to provide a digital device to every student in every school. Additionally, effective learning tools and training will be provided to teachers to improve their digital skills.

This investment is accompanied by a reform based on four pillars: (1) promoting ICT education, media literacy and computational thinking, (2) promoting effective ICT school policies, by strengthening the role of ICT coordinators, (3) ensuring digitally skilled teachers and trainers for teachers and (4) creation of a knowledge and advisory centre to support schools in digitalising their educational provisions.

Around EUR 287 million from the Recovery and Resilience Facility are allocated to the support of this investment. More than 3700 schools have already benefited from the “Digisprong”.
