Report
Following the entry into force on August 2nd 2018 of the 2018 Financial Regulation, DG Budget is organising a conference on the best practices in managing conflicts of interest for better use of EU funds. The aim of the conference is to have an exchange on a technical level, with those working in shared management in Member States with the following objectives:
- stress the link between good management of conflicts of interest and better use of EU funds and the fact that conflict of interest management is part of internal control systems
- identify and share best practices in Member States as recommended by the OECD on how to deal with conflicts of interest in public administration, and
- share the results of the e-survey launched by DG Budget on Member State measures taken to deal with conflicts of interest.
