This interinstitutional TEW will take place at Drongo, the biggest language fair in the Netherlands. During the 2-day event there will be the fair and various breakout sessions. The TEW will consist of a joint stand at the fair with other EU institutions (DGT, DG SCIC, Commission Representation in NL, DG TRAD (Lux) and DG INTE from EP Brussels, COJ) and will also provide content for 3 break-out sessions
- topics for break-out sessions: translating for the EU, legal translation, interpreting for the EU
- Emphasis on employment opportunities, both within DGT and the European Institutions, as well as in the language industry at large.
- a translation lab where the public can work with CAT-tools and Machine Translation will be set up
- new linguistic services such as subtitling and podcasts will be presented and accessible for trying them out
