During the virtual visit, participants will learn about:
- the work of European Commission translators
- translation tools and methods used in DG Translation
- the required skills for translators
- the various translation profiles
- career and traineeship opportunities at the European Commission.
Professional translators working for the Commission will share their experience and answer participants' questions in interactive virtual rooms.
The programme will include:
- an introduction to DG Translation, the work of translators and career opportunities, given in English
- breakout rooms for each of the 24 official EU languages where students can interact with translators and ask questions.

Registration opened on 7 October. Stay tuned!
Priority will be given to:
- universities and participants from EU member countries.
- classroom connections. These are highly recommended for universities to give the opportunity to as many students as possible to participate.
Places are limited to 1000 connections, therefore registrations will be validated on a first come first served basis.
