The European Consumer Consultative Group (ECCG)

Until July 2019, ECCG was the Commission's main forum to consult with national and European consumer organisations.

Role of the ECCG

The European Consumer Consultative Group was the Commission's main forum to consult with national and European consumer organisations. As part of the New Consumer Agenda it has been replaced by the Consumer Policy Advisory Group (CPAG).

Since its establishment in 1973, the European Consumer Consultative Group (ECCG) assisted the Commission by providing expert advice on EU consumer related issues, issuing opinions and participating in different fora.
