Youth centre - Dupnitsa

With over EUR 27.5 million, the Recovery and Resilience Facility supports the establishment of 18 youth centres in Bulgaria.

The project "Construction of a youth center in Dupnitsa" is funded with BGN 1.8 million from the RRP.

The project will support thе building and ensuring effective functioning during its first years, a youth center which will provide a variety of activities and comprehensive services to help the personal development and employability of students and young people aged 13 to 29.

The center will develop activities and measures to overcome social isolation and promote active citizenship, training and educational activities to develop soft skills, acquisition of digital competences and financial literacy, support for the professional and educational realisation of young people, creating partnerships with organisations with a similar vision and mission.

The youth center will work with equal concern for all young people, regardless of their ethnic, social, cultural and religious affiliation, with the aim of making a lasting change in their lives.

A special focus will be placed on young people from vulnerable groups - representatives of ethnic minorities, young people from social institutions, those at risk and those who have dropped out of the education system, as well as those who, for one reason or another, fail to adapt successfully to the societies in which they live.

The project is expected to be completed by 30 June 2026.
