With EUR 1.6 million from the Croatian Recovery and Resilience plan, this measure digitalised the transfusion diagnostic process by enabling remote interpretation of pre-transfusion and prenatal tests. Tele-transfusion services thus enabled the availability of an on-call transfusion specialists on distance for all hospital healthcare establishments with transfusion units, contributing to a strong development of the telemedicine service through the digital transmission of medical data and strengthening the interconnection of all hospital establishments with transfusion units. The project connected 35 hospital transfusion centres in Croatia’s territory and made the service available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
