Ministry of Industry and Trade of Czechia This measure consisted of carrying out, by the end of 2022, an assessment of the paths towards the decarbonisation of the district heating sector in Czechia. These analyses will be followed by concrete investments into energy savings in heat distribution. The focus is on network modernisation and on switching to renewable energy sources, biomass, heat pumps and waste. This measure is particularly important because more than a third of Czech households use district heating, where both coal and natural gas play a very significant role.
