Reform of the Minimum Incluysion Income (VMI)

The VMI legislation has been updated to meet the minimum livelihood needs of vulnerable groups. 

With more generous eligibility thresholds, more flexible conditions and a closer link with employment and education services, VMI is a more appropriate support for vulnerable groups. 

VMI stimulates active labour market behaviour, and aims to lift as many vulnerable people as possible out of poverty.
