Examples of investments at local level:

Development of a digital system, based on 3D printing, for the acquisition of personalised dental prostheses

The project aims to almost eliminate the margin of error in the creation of prostheses and to reduce patient visit time. PHIBO CAD-CAM SL has received support from the Recovery and Resilience Facility for the development and manufacture of prostheses by applying 3D printing (CAD CAM). The project, which will be implemented over a period of two to three years, has received a grant of EUR 104,036 and a loan of EUR 764,500.

Reuse of water in the papermaking process in Rosselló (Lleida)

The company Alier SA del Segrià was born in 1832 and since 1886 is dedicated to the manufacture of paper. In 1948, they began to manufacture 100 % recycled paper. Their project “Reducing the consumption of fresh water in the production process” has gotten support within the framework of the call for innovation and sustainability plans in the manufacturing industry. It will allow to achieve savings of between 30 and 40% of the water consumption in the paper production process, by taking advantage of the excess water at points of this process and taking it to other points where the demand for water quality is not so high. It will also help them in training and improving the knowledge of their workers. 85 % of all Alier production is exported to several countries around the world.

The project has received EUR 376,412 in grants and EUR 2,634,890 in loans.

Improvement of discharge parameters and reduction of wastewater volume of discharge and treatment of crude water from the Canal del Zújar (Guareña-Badajoz)

This project received EUR 103,125.

Strategic Project for Economic Recovery and Transformation (PERTE) for electric vehicles

This Strategic Project for Economic Recovery and Transformation (PERTE) aims at creating a suitable ecosystem for the development and manufacture of electric and network-connected vehicles in Spain, in order to transform Spain into a European electromobility hub. The development of this project foresees a total investment of more than EUR 24.000 million over the period 2021-2023, with a public sector contribution of EUR 4.300 million and private investment of EUR 19.700 million.

A first call has been published and awarded on 20 January 2023. The first call of this EVC PERTE has resulted in 10 projects for EUR 794 million with more than 297 primary projects and 269 unique beneficiaries from 15 autonomous communities. A second call is foreseen in 2023.
