New operational e-services in forestry: eForestry (eGozdarstvo) - The digital transition in agriculture, food and forestry

The project will contribute to optimising and digitising the functioning of the Public Forest Service by bringing together forest process stakeholders through the digitalisation and centralisation of processes and offering user-friendly digital public services. The digital transformation will ensure that administrative and inspection tasks are streamlined and, above all, more efficient and faster to deal with customers.

The project will set up three e-services:

1. e-equipment (e-opremljnost) application, which aims to improve the connectivity and equipment of the public forestry service with e-office and e-e-equipment and digitising key databases in forestry or upgrading already digitised collections.
2. Forestry Information System: a data warehouse for forestry and hunting data and a revamped forest information system will be established.
3. eForest (EGozd) application: upgrading the eForester (eGozdar) information system, which will give forest owners insights into forest data, forest development and management history and forest works services. Forest owners will also have an insight into the current situation of the timber market and the costs of forest production.

The Recovery and Resilience Facility provides funding of EUR 10.1 million, while the total value of the investment is EUR 11.8 million. The project started in May 2022 and will be finalised by June 2026.
