Mentor training: BIC Ljubljana - Strengthening cooperation between the education system and the labour market

Mentor training: BIC Ljubljana
Copyright: Ministry of Education

The project aims to contribute to improving the responsiveness of the education and training system to the needs of the labour market by improving the competences of mentors in companies and thereby strengthening cooperation between the education system and the labour market.

The project aims to reduce mismatches between the competences acquired by school pupils during education and those sought by employers, thus facilitating a better transition from education to the labour market by training 1,950 mentors in companies.

The project is being carried out in two phases:

  1. Preparatory activities: A consortium of 15 partners has been set up, a full graphical image of the project was produced, a website created.
  2. Implementation of training programmes (from 1 April 2024 to 30 June 2026), setting up online classrooms, supporting work with online classrooms.

The Recovery and Resilience Facility provides funding of EUR 720,000, the total cost of the project.

The project started in July 2023 and will be finalised by June 2026.
