Increasing access to culture in culturally deprived areas, MUZICOLINE

MUZICOLINE, a project which received EUR 37,896.54 without VAT, aims to facilitate access to culture for the inhabitants of the settlements in the municipality of Biertan in Sibiu (on the hills near the Târnava Mare river), through a series of participatory activities (creative residencies and cultural trails for Romanian and foreign artists and for adults and children), educational (music and movement workshops for children from the villages in the municipality of Biertan), formative (aimed at teachers at schools in the municipality, who will be able to continue the workshops on the basis of newly acquired skills) and concert and performance seasons (aimed at audiences of all ages) structured in such a way as to ensure continuity in maintaining the cultural offer throughout the year and not only during the summer, which is usually difficult to sustain by local authorities or independent cultural operators.
