Health Infrastructure - NHS Hospital Renovation and Infrastructure Upgrade/"Agia Sophia" Children's Hospital

The project "Health Infrastructure - NHS Hospital Renovation and Infrastructure Upgrade" concerns the construction, maintenance, modernization and expansion of the building infrastructure of the National Health System of Greece.

Specifically, interventions will be implemented in 80 Public Hospitals in all seven (7) Health Regions of the country.

Interventions vary by hospital unit and generally include: construction of new main, auxiliary buildings, renovation and upgrade of the Emergency Departments, renovation of nursing wards, upgrade of electromechanical installations and hydraulic systems, reconstruction of bathrooms and WC, etc.

The project is expected to contribute to the general upgrading of the hospital infrastructure and the provision of better quality healthcare services to citizens within the public health system.

The total RRF contribution amounts to € 254 million.

The "Agia Sophia" Children's Hospital is the largest pediatric hospital in Greece.

The project is at the stage of completing construction and electromechanical works.
