Entry into force of the law to support the implementation of the adopted national strategy for the prevention of institutionalisation

The protection measures are funded from the state budget up to of 90% of the cost standards calculated for the beneficiaries, based on the type of service.

A newly introduced measure related to the professional personal assistant, who will be remunerated from the state budget through the budget of county directorates for social assistance and child protection from the 1 January 2026.

The law also allows for the right of the person with disabilities to be cared for by an informal caretaker.
