The measures address the challenge of high and non-renewable energy consumption in households by funding renovations improving the energy efficiency of buildings and increasing the role of renewables (in particular, heat pumps, biomass, solar). In combination, the measures will lead to lower household energy bills as well as lower CO2 emissions. The underlying calls have been launched in October 2021 under the New Green Savings program, with a total allocation of CZK 8.5 billion (around EUR 360 million) by 2025.
