Digital update of hospitals’ technological equipment (Mission 6, Component 2, Investment 1.1)Italy’s Recovery and Resilience Plan provides this investment, which consists in the improvement of the digitalization of healthcare in order to enhance staff productivity, improve the quality of processes, ensuring patient safety and high-quality service delivery. The investment has three lines of intervention:1. Modernisation of large healthcare equipment by substituting obsolete models with technological advanced ones. Substituted equipment will be disposed of or reallocated to other National Health Service sites.2. Informatization of the processes of hospitals with a first and second level Emergency Department (“Dipartimenti Emergenza e Accettazione”, DEA).3. Increase in the number of beds in intensive and semi-intensive care units in National Health Service hospitals.The component is financed by Italy’s Recovery and resilience plan by EUR 1450 million.This project provides for the digitalization of the Regional Hospital Presidium. It includes activities aimed at reengineering the software of the Hospital Information Systems; the SIRTE Territorial Information System; Teleconsultation services; Consent management; Business Intelligence tools; the Transfusion Information System; ADP infrastructures; PMO activities; and EMRAM certification.This project is financed with EUR 3.001.404,96 including EUR 1.906.251,11 from the Recovery and Resilience Facility.
