Construction of the first school canteen in San Cipriano Picentino

Plan for the extension of full-time (Mission 4 – Component 1 - Investment 1.2) 

Italy’s Recovery and Resilience Plan provides for the extension of school time in order to increase the educational offer of schools and make them open to the territory beyond school hours. The measure envisages the construction or renovation of canteen spaces for at least 1 000 structures to allow for the extension of school time. Extended schooling hours are expected to have a positive impact on the fight against early school leaving.

The investment is financed by Italy’s Recovery and Resilience plan by EUR 1 billion.

Part of this investment is the intervention that envisages works for the construction of the first school canteen in the municipality of San Cipriano Picentino. This is a new service that complements those already provided, for a complete school that is also able to stop school emigration to other municipalities.
