Liliana Musetan

Liliana is the Head of Cybersecurity Governance and Compliance Unit at the General Secretariat of the European Council. She joined the Council four years ago and since then, has become a fundamental driver of a risk-based approach to cybersecurity, which underpins strategic decision making. Liliana adds over 25 years of experience in the European Institutions and has been constantly admired for her leadership role in keeping up with the ever-changing threat landscape. Her role focuses on protecting the Council's most critical assets, enhancing its overall security posture, and creating a vibrant cybersecurity awareness culture. Prior to joining the EU as diplomat in the European External Action Service, she served as the Head of IT at the General Secretariat of the Romanian Government. As a Women4Cyber Ambassador, she is a leading example for women in the cybersecurity field.
