Awards Ceremony

The 10th edition of Juvenes Translatores offered us a glimpse into bright young minds as they embark on their journey to discover the world — untroubled by routine or conventions, youthful and a tad irreverent. This year over 3000 students from across the European Union translated texts involving an impressive number of language combinations (152!), including Greek-Latvian and Bulgarian‑Portuguese. They didn't balk at tackling even the trickiest phrases, and their ingenious solutions occasionally led markers — professional translators — to wonder whether they'd have been able to equal the efforts of the most promising contestants back in their own school days. Congratulations on the students' efforts, in which they clearly invested a great deal of commitment and enthusiasm!
