Details Part of collectionAnnual reports on monitoring the application of EU lawPublication date14 July 2016AuthorSecretariat-General Description Every year, the European Commission draws up an annual report on its monitoring of the application of EU law in response to requests from the European Parliament and the EU countries. In 2015, the Commission launched 742 new procedures - by sending a letter of formal notice - and issued 248 reasoned opinions. At the end of 2015, there were 1,368 open infringement cases.
