The National Laboratory for Renewable Energies established to build the scientific and technological, legal, economic, and industrial property basis of low-carbon energy technologies, particularly focusing on H2 production/transportation/storage/utilization and CO2 utilization (CCU).

This substantial effort will significantly contribute to the establishment of a sustainable energy management and chemical industry. The provision of green hydrogen-based energy and raw materials supply for sectors that are difficult to decarbonize with electricity, as well as the need for CCU, emphasizes the relevance of the aforementioned technologies.

Additionally, battery technologies with domestic relevance will also be addressed as supplementary objectives. These two technology groups can play a significant role in sectoral integration, strengthening domestic security of supply, and achieving our decarbonization goals by running parallel and mutually supporting each other.

The project receives EUR 16 million support from. It is expected to be completed by September, 2025.
