The objective of this component is to strengthen the Italian National Health Service (NHS) by inter alia enhancing the protection against environmental and climate-change related health risks and better responding to the communities’ needs regarding local care and assistance. Local healthcare assistance is fragmented and subject to regional disparities that result in different levels of healthcare provisions and health outcomes across regions. The investment is financed by Italy’s Recovery and resilience plan by EUR 1.8 billion. This project, financed with EUR 2 270 163,41, including EUR 1.905.585,00 from the Recovery and Resilience Facility , consists of the construction of 1 Community Hospital. The Autonomous Region of Valle d’Aosta will implement a second one entirely financed by regional resources. Following preliminary steps to sign the programme agreement with the Department and AUSL and the Memorandum of Understanding between AUSL and JBF, the patients were transferred from RSA/UAP to the Variney facility, the contract was signed by the deadline of September 2023 and the work started. The hospital will be completed by March 2026: the forecast is about 245 days of work and there are no milestones ReferenceM6C1Project locations Italy EU contribution€1 905 585 Project websitehttps://gestionewww.regione.vda.it/sanita/PNRR/ospedale_comunita_jb_festaz_i.as…
