EU China visawaiver signature

On Monday, 29 February 2016, the European Union and the People’s Republic of China signed the EU-China short-stay visa waiver agreement for holders of diplomatic passports. This agreement will ensure visa-free travel to the EU and China for stays up to maximum 90 days (within any 180-day period) for holders of a valid diplomatic passport or EU laissez-passer. The visa-waiver applies regardless of the mode of transport used to cross the borders of EU or China. The agreement does not cover the United Kingdom and Ireland. For France and the Netherlands, the agreement applies only to the European territory of these Member States.Visa-free travel to China is another advantage for EU laissez-passer holders and saving expenses on visa fees at the same time.More info on https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=OJ:L:2016:076:TOC
