CATE 2020 - A computer assisted translation (CAT) tool - Questions and Answers

The CAT tool predominantly used in participating translation services today is a stand-alone application installed on the workstations of translators. It is backed by a number of in-house developed server applications that store and re-use language resources and provide specific languages services. As the CAT tool will interact with a number of existing IT systems, it has to be able to integrate programmatically in this environment. Interoperability through well-documented web-services and the support of open standards are thus key elements of the requirements.
