16th SET Plan conference - Towards a new Strategic Energy Technology Plan

The 2022 edition of the SET Plan conference, “Towards a new Strategic Energy Technology Plan”, aims to explore the transformational pathways to sustainable, secure, resilient and competitive energy systems and value chains, as well as to raise awareness among all stakeholders on the latest research and innovations in the field of carbon-neutral energy technologies.

The event will focus on research and innovation in the field of energy in the context of the current climate and geopolitical challenges. Among others, attendees will be able to discuss how to step up the SET Plan to the increased energy and climate policy ambitions. The conference will gather clean energy actors from the European and national public and academic spheres, private sector and non-governmental and international organisations.

The 16th SET Plan conference is co-organised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic and the European Commission.

Background

The Strategic Energy Technology Plan (SET Plan) conferences have been organised since 2008 and offer a chance for decision-makers, stakeholders and researchers to assess the SET Plan's progress.

The conference follows the rotating presidency of the Council of the EU and takes place in the corresponding country.
