The workshops complement the yearly Forum and consist of smaller scale events, targeted at specialised audiences within national and cross-border translation communities. While coordinated centrally, the Translating Europe workshops are organised by local language officers (‘Field Officers’) – representatives of the Directorate-General for Translation (DGT) in the EU Member States – often in cooperation with member universities of the European Master's in Translation network and local language industry partners.
